Job Description
SEND Upper School Teacher

Location: Wallington, London

Pay: £168.00 - £230.45 per day

Type: Temp - Perm Contract

Hours: Full-time

Start date: September 2026

About the Candidate
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within a middle school or secondary-style curriculum, ideally in a SEND or specialist provision
  • Strong knowledge of supporting pupils with additional needs, including ASD, SEMH, and complex learning needs
  • A nurturing, structured, and inclusive approach to teaching and learning
  • Excellent behaviour management skills with the ability to adapt and differentiate lessons across a range of abilities
  • Confidence in delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons across core and foundation subjects
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organisational skills, working effectively with pupils, colleagues, and families
Contract & Recruitment Information

Elementa is the recruiting partner; therefore, applicants being considered for the role after pre-screening will be required to complete the registration process for Elementa. This includes full vetting and background checks and application for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure (which may be chargeable at £64.20), unless you have a current Enhanced DBS subscribed to the Update Service.
