At EY, our highly talented and motivated Digital Assurance and Quality Engineering team specializes in Data Transformation and Testing Services for our clients. We offer a comprehensive range of functional testing services, including requirements based testing, integration testing, system testing, regression testing, and acceptance testing. Through agile QA and testing practices, we enable faster time to market, flexibility, and adaptability to changing requirements, along with automation and continuous testing to drive improved efficiencies. Our expertise extends to technical testing services such as test automation, API and microservices testing, mobile device testing, performance testing, and ETL testing, ensuring quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.

As a Senior Test Consultant, you will help clients solve a wide range of challenges from requirements to large transformation programmes. You will play a key role in supporting the development and strengthening existing client relationships and help Financial Services clients navigate complex finance issues.

Your key responsibilities

• Contribute to delivery of IT projects through Agile Scrum/Kanban and Waterfall as required, leveraging your domain knowledge.
• Participate in presentations and proposals for medium or highly complex projects.
• Create high quality work products and act as domain subject matter expert.
• Identify opportunities to better serve clients.
• Maintain focus so projects deliver on key priorities and dependencies.
• Contribute to proposals and client presentations requiring disciplined quality assurance and testing expertise.
• Engage in your own self development, maintaining an educational program.
• Contribute to EY's Quality Assurance & Testing Community of Practice.
• Build meaningful external relationships with clients and internal relationships across service lines.
• Develop junior team members through supervising, coaching, and mentoring.
• Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures.

Skills and attributes for success To qualify for the role

• Strong academic record, third level degree preferably in business or IT related discipline.
• QA accreditation (ISTQB Foundation or similar).
• At least 3 years relevant experience in a client facing role for a leading consulting or professional services company of large scale complex change/transformation programmes or at least 4 years in delivery of such programmes.
• Experience working on projects within the Financial Services sector (Banking, Insurance, Wealth & Asset Management, or Capital Markets).
• Experience testing end to end business processes, system integrations, APIs, and data flows across multiple applications within financial services environments.
• Experience in Agile/DevOps and traditional environments.
• Experience of functional and non functional testing.
• Experience of manual testing and/or test automation.
• Experience creating test cases and acceptance criteria.
• Experience using testing tools including issue tracking tools.
• Experience with troubleshooting and end to end defect management process.

Ideally, you will also have

• Experience in technology areas such as ERP, CRM, Digital Workplace, CX, Cloud Migration, Data & Analytics, RPA, Emerging Tech, IoT, Blockchain.
• Structured approach to problem solving; self starter, independent work capability, attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, tailored to both technical and non technical audiences.
• Exposure to AI/Generative AI solutions and understanding of testing considerations, including output validation, prompt testing, and Responsible AI principles such as bias, security, privacy, and transparency.
