An opportunity for a Staff Nurse wishing to work part time hours to join our friendly Twilight Team
Our Twilight District Nursing Team delivers out of hours care to people in their homes or designated buildings. The team includes staff nurses and healthcare support workers who provide district nursing service.
You must hold a relevant nursing qualification with significant experience as a staff nurse and be a car driver with access to a car for work.
You will:
- Perform joint visits to provide nursing care to patients allocated by a senior staff member.
- Take responsibility for the assessment, management and evaluation of evidence based nursing care to patients in a variety of community settings, and promote effective teamwork within the wider Health Care Team.
Part time 4.5 hour shifts. 27 hours in total available for job share among staff.
Service operates seven days a week between 16:30 - 00:30.
Shift options: 18:00 - 22:30 or 19:30 - 00:00 depending on service needs.

- Registered NMC nurse (Adult) or awaiting pin, diploma or degree.
- Numeracy skills for safe medicine administration.
- Evidence of ongoing CPD.
- Willingness to undertake further studies as required.
- Community experience as a student or substantive role.
- Effective communication with the multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain electronic patient records and Microsoft Office knowledge.
- Ability to assess patients, develop and evaluate care plans.
- Empowering and partnership working.
- Safeguarding and advocacy skills.
- Understanding of Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
- Understanding of quality improvement and its impact on safety and patient experience.
- Knowledge of recent health & social care developments.
- Ability to pass urgent client information to the District Nurse/Team Lead.
- Organise own workload without direct supervision.
- Mentor HCAs, Nursing Associates and students.
