Trust Manager - Glasgow

A leading Scottish law firm with a growing national presence is looking to appoint an experienced Trust Manager to its Trust Advisory and Compliance team in Glasgow. You'll run your own portfolio of complex and high-value trusts, working closely with the wider Private Client team.

The role

You'll lead on the administration of a portfolio of trusts, advising on their establishment, day-to-day management, compliance, tax and accounts, through to winding up. You'll act as the main point of contact for clients and beneficiaries, handling sensitive family and financial matters with discretion.

You'll also arrange and conduct trustee meetings, work closely with intermediaries and other professionals, and support the development of junior colleagues.

About you

This role would suit a Trust Manager who:

• Has experience managing a portfolio of trusts, ideally including complex or high-value matters
• Has sound knowledge of trust law and taxation, particularly Income Tax, IHT and CGT
• Is confident explaining complex matters clearly to clients and beneficiaries
• Is organised, calm and detail-focused
• Holds, or is working towards, STEP or ATT qualification (desirable, not essential)
