Job Description

Bedgebury Foundation is a small grantmaking charity which funds schools and charities in Kent and East Sussex. We are in a process of transition; with a new Director of Administration in post and a new Chair taking office from November 2025. As a result of the transition, we have identified some gaps in finance knowledge that would be filled by a Treasurer with strong financial skills.The Treasurer who will carry out all regular Trustee duties, but will also work alongside the Director of Administation (the sole member of staff) on some additional operational duties, which will take up to a day a month(in addition to Trustee duties) and include management of bank account users, authorisation of payments, preparation of budgets, financial reports and cashflows.Experience of education or additional learning needs would be beneficial, but not essential for this role.The day to day support aspect of this role would be carried out remotely (we don't have an office) and the Board meetings are held in venues along the A21 corridor.
