Role Overview

We are recruiting a Transport Planner to join our Passenger Transit Group within the Transport Planning & Mobility team, working across the UK. Responsibilities

• Contribute to a variety of projects and proposals, providing both technical and commercial inputs and delivering high quality outputs in line with client requirements.
• Apply knowledge of Passenger Transit to deliver effective outcomes for clients.
• Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team, working with other WSP service lines from concept through delivery.
• Support securing and delivering work for our local client portfolio.
• Contribute to the financial performance of projects and the commercial performance of the team.
• Actively contribute to WSP's four key pillars: People, Clients & Growth, Operations, and Expertise.

Movement across the team includes collaboration with Net Zero and Future Mobility initiatives on innovative strategies for public and private sector clients. You will be a key member of the expertise practice group.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in passenger transit and mobility planning, design, and transport data analysis.
• Sound understanding of regulatory and legislative environments for passenger transit services.
• Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly to clients and colleagues.
• Experience working with passenger transit clients.
• Project management skills developed across a range of transport and multidisciplinary projects.
• Creative, innovative mindset with a lateral thinker approach.

Team & Culture

The Passenger Transit leadership team operates across the UK, supporting key regional client relationships and projects in specialist areas. The group is approximately 30 strong, working collaboratively with global partners to deploy multidisciplinary teams when required.
