Transport Planner - Nights

Temporary to Permanent 18:00 - 04:00 or 20:00 - 06:00 Monday to Friday Based in Lutterworth £33,000

Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail oriented Transport Planner to join their busy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimising transportation routes, ensuring efficient supply chain operations, and maintaining excellent communication with clients and internal departments.

Key Tasks

• Ensure the daily plan runs smoothly
• Create suitable and effective load plans
• Check resource availability for the shift - reviewing the manning levels on a daily basis
• Managing drivers' hours in relation to customer requirements and volume demand
• Trailer type utilisation
• Reduce Empty Legs
• Liaising with drivers both face to face and phone
• Production of reports
• Accurate data entry

Person Spec

• Equivalent of 5 GCSEs grade 'C' and above including Maths and English
• Ideally 1 year planning experience
• Good working knowledge of Working Time Directives and EU Drivers hours regulations
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows package (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines
