A registered social worker is required to join Swansea Social Services to work with young people between the ages of 17 - 25 in transition and general learning disabilities over 25 yrs old. Ideally we are looking for someone who can offer full time hours ideally Monday-Friday 37 hours a week , for an initial 3 month contract.
This role offers hybrid working with home visits required plus office working circa 3 days per week. Further discussions can be held about this direct with the team manager.
The work will involve carrying out statutory assessments and reviews under the Social Services Wellbeing Act 2014; planning for young people's transition from child to adult services and arranging suitable provisions to meet their needs. You will need to effectively manage a complex case load. Additionally, this posts includes assessing risk and supporting people to manage these risks. Experience of working with people with a learning disability, autism is essential and transition to adulthood work is desirable.
To apply for this role, you will need to hold -
- A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
- A relevant Social Work Qualification
- Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England
- Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
- 3 Years of referencing
- Driving license with access to a car
