Job Title: Transition Consultant

Location: Midlands

Contract: Permanent

Your role

As a Transition Consultant, you will be responsible for growing the volume and value of the Photochromic category for Essilor, driven by a branded approach with the Transitions family of products.

You will support and collaborate with the Lens sales team to challenge customer behavior and maximize Transitions growth opportunities (for both direct and indirect customers).

Your role also involves adding value and supporting Eye Care Professionals regardless of entity or purchasing channel.

Main responsibilities:
  • Drive differentiation of the Transitions brand and products with all customers.
  • Maintain a 10-12 week call cycle, ensuring all customers are up to date on products and activities.
  • Understand each account's current performance, knowledge, and skills in selling Transitions.
  • Construct mutually agreed development plans with each account to increase dispensing of Transitions products.
  • Review business performance regularly with customers and Essilor colleagues to achieve category and revenue growth.
  • Utilize available tools, support programs, and promotions to help Eye Care Professionals grow.
  • Deliver CET training as needed to advance business objectives.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and reports, recording all relevant information in
  • Continuously review customer needs and feedback.
  • Act as an ambassador of Essilor and its values at all times.
Main requirements:
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven track record in delivering effective training and coaching to change behavior.
  • Experience in training in group and individual environments.
  • Knowledge of ophthalmic lens theory.
  • Influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Selling and negotiating techniques.
  • Experience working in practice.
  • Successful sales account management experience in related fields.
  • Knowledge of marketing theory and application.
  • Understanding of lens manufacturing processes, company products, and the UK optical market.
