Transfer Service and Performance Manager

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for the position of Band 7 Transfer Service and Performance Manager within the Adult Critical Care Emergency Support Service (ACCESS).ACCESS is a vital adult critical care transfer service, committed to the safe, consistent, compassionate, and expert-led transfer of critically ill patients across London. Working in partnership with the London Ambulance Service NHS Trust (LAS), London Integrated Commissioning Boards, and critical care networks, we provide a 24/7 service, 365 days a year.We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual with strong communication and data analytical skills, who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness

Person Specification Qualifications
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent level of knowledge gained through relevant work experience
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Further educational achievement in an information related field, either acquired by in depth experience or postgraduate study to diploma level.
Experience
  • Substantial years experience of working in information analysis or equivalent NHS experience
  • Experience of extracting, processing and analysing data using analysis tools, databases, or systems (e.g., SQL, Excel, BI tools)
  • Experience of using a range of health related information systems
  • Excellent keyboard and an advanced level of knowledge of Microsoft office applications to deal with a with a wide range of IT applications which are highly time driven.
  • Experience of change management processes
  • Experience of leading projects.
  • Expert skills in complex data extraction from the Trust's information databases including the use of structured query programming language and manipulation of complex data sets in spreadsheets and PC applications such as Excel and Access, using skills at an advanced level of expertise
  • Experience and involvement in budget setting and monitoring and working knowledge of financial processes
  • Proven experience of effective staff management
  • Experience of successfully implementing/supporting change and service improvement
  • Expert technical specialist knowledge of information systems, including in depth knowledge of NHS data definitions, clinical terminology and coding systems. This includes a thorough understanding of the current issues facing the NHS and the role of information in this context
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques.
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of patient information systems
  • Thorough understanding of NHS data definitions, reporting requirements, sources and information flows.
Others
  • Ability to identify development opportunities for both the service and staff
