Transactional Claims Analyst
Location:Suffolk (Hybrid working available)

Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and looking to grow your career in the insurance and reinsurance sector? Join our collaborative and fast-paced team as aTransactional Claims Analyst, where you'll play a key role in processing and supporting global claims operations.

About the Role
As a Transactional Claims Analyst, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of low-risk, rules-based insurance and reinsurance claims and contracts. You'll work closely with internal teams across multiple regions, supporting a variety of portfolios. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, thrives in a process-driven environment, and is eager to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately calculate and process inwards and outwards claims and contracts in line with internal guidelines.
  • Handle requests related to letters of credit and bonds, including creation, amendments, and cancellations.
  • Respond to internal queries from global teams in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support claims and operational teams with process improvements and integration projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across different portfolios and geographies, adapting to business needs.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and maintain high standards of service delivery.

What We're Looking For

Technical Skills:

  • Strong Excel and general IT proficiency.
  • Understanding of insurance and reinsurance business classes.
  • (Preferred) Experience with reinsurance structures such as Excess of Loss, Quota Share, and Surplus.

Personal Attributes:

  • Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently within authority limits.
  • Excellent communication skills; additional language skills (e.g., French or German) are a plus.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Organised and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
