Reed in Partnership's Career Transition Partnership (CTP) supports Service Leavers as they prepare for life beyond the Armed Forces. Through training, career guidance, vocational skills development and employment support, we help individuals gain the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to secure rewarding civilian careers. Our Training Team plays a vital role in ensuring Service Leavers can access high-quality training opportunities that support their career aspirations.

As a Training Course Administrator, you will be at the heart of this service, providing expert guidance, managing course bookings and delivering a first-class customer experience throughout the training journey.

What is the role about?

Training Course Administrators are responsible for administering training course and vocational skills bookings, ensuring Service Leavers receive accurate information, excellent customer service and a seamless experience when accessing training opportunities. You will develop a strong understanding of the training available through CTP, funding arrangements and booking processes, enabling you to support Service Leavers in choosing and securing courses that help them achieve their career goals.

Just some of your day to day responsibilities will include: Taking Ownership
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on CTP training courses and vocational skills programmes.
  • Providing information and support to Service Leavers regarding training opportunities and course availability.
  • Taking bookings and enrolling participants onto training courses.
  • Accurately recording customer interactions and maintaining course booking data on relevant systems.
  • Processing and reconciling financial transactions, including payments and invoicing.
  • Monitoring course enrolments and providing information and insights to the Training Course Team Leader.
  • Processing Ministry of Defence (MOD) digital training requests and maintaining accurate records.
Working Together
  • Building positive relationships with Service Leavers, training providers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Signposting individuals to additional support services where specialist advice or guidance is required.
  • Supporting Service Leavers to utilise the CTP digital platform, website and other available resources.
  • Ensuring joining instructions and key course information are provided at the appropriate stages of the customer journey.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to continuously improve the service provided to Service Leavers.
Being Fair, Open and Honest
  • Providing professional, accurate and impartial information to all Service Leavers.
  • Maintaining high standards of data quality, record keeping and compliance.
  • Supporting a positive and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with:
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload.
  • The ability to work independently with a high level of self motivation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling information and administration tasks.
  • A willingness to travel occasionally to other CTP locations for meetings when required.
  • A minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma.
  • GCSE English Language at Grade B or above (or equivalent Level 2 qualification), or achievement of a Level 2 Literacy Assessment at interview stage.
Screening Criteria

Applicants must have resided in the United Kingdom for the past 5 years and be able to evidence this, as Security Clearance is required for the role.

Desirable Criteria
  • Experience working in publicly funded services or similar sectors.
  • Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role.
  • An interest in career and personal development.
  • Knowledge of the Armed Forces community.
