You will work closely with operational teams, line managers, coaches, and industry accreditors in developing and delivering high quality training that supports current operations and future business needs.The team are working alongside and with the guidance of our industry accreditors to ensure we meet the compliance and deliver schemes such as the Energy Utilities Skills Register's Licence 2 Control scheme which launched in 2023, and Southern Water is the first in the utilities industry to have created and be delivering this for both Water and Wastewater. What you will be responsible for: Deliver training programmes aligned to operational and business requirements Develop and maintain training materials using Microsoft Office applications Ensure training content remains up to date and fit for future business changes Deliver training face to face at Durrington Head Office and virtually where appropriate Work with line managers and coaches to support assessments linked to training programmes Act as a visible ambassador during inductions, demonstrating Southern Water values and behaviours Additional requirements specific to the role Regular delivery to new starters and experienced colleagues Flexibility to support both water and wastewater operational training needs What you'll bring to the role: Essential Experience delivering training to varied audiences Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to adapt training to different learning styles Confidence using Microsoft Office to create training materials High level of emotional intelligence and professionalism Demonstrates a strong understanding of learning styles and learning needs analysis, with the ability to communicate effectively and adaptably to diverse audiences. Relevant Level 3 or equivalent qualification. E.g. AET, Business Coaching Desirable Experience within water, wastewater, utilities, or operational environments Experience supporting accredited or compliance based training schemes Experience delivering both face to face and virtual learning Progression opportunities This role offers opportunities to develop specialist training expertise and contribute to wider learning and development initiatives across Southern Water.
