Trainee Water Hygiene Technician
Location: Manchester / Liverpool (Site-Based)
Salary: £23,809.50 per annum DOE + Excellent Career Prospects

Are you looking to start a career in a secure and growing industry? AEC is looking for aWater Hygiene Technician to join our friendly and supportive team, delivering essential water hygiene services to key clients across the Northwest.

You'll gain hands on experience, earn while you learn, and work towards yourP900 qualification, all with full training and support from our expert team.

As part of our expert Water Team, you'll be trained to carry out a range of water hygiene tasks, working in a range of commercial and residential properties.

What You'll Do:

Working across commercial and residential properties, you'll be trained to perform a variety of water hygiene duties, including:

  • Monitoring water temperatures and sampling systems
  • Showerhead cleaning and TMV servicing
  • Assisting with cleaning/disinfection of cold and hot water systems
  • Recording data on our Alpha Tracker system (tablet based)
  • Liaising professionally with clients and site contacts
  • Attending internal and external training courses
  • Submitting expenses and email communication via Outlook
  • Ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and to a high standard
  • You'll also need to be flexible - the role includes a rota for working away from home, occasional weekends, and night shifts.
What We're Looking For:
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude
  • Basic IT skills (training provided)
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility for travel and varied working hours
  • Plumbing knowledge is helpful but not essential
Requirements:
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Must be 21 or over (vehicle insurance requirement)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
