About the Role

Construo Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading housing organisation to recruit a Trainee Surveyor to join their Property Investment team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in property, construction, or surveying who is looking to build a long term career within the housing sector. You will gain hands on experience supporting stock condition surveys, EPC assessments, and property inspections while learning from experienced surveyors in a supportive and structured environment.

The role offers a strong development pathway into housing asset surveying, with mentoring, practical training, and exposure to live surveying projects across residential properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with stock condition surveys across residential housing portfolios
  • Support EPC surveys and property data collection activities
  • Accompany experienced surveyors on property inspections and site visits
  • Maintain accurate survey records and asset management information
  • Support preparation of technical reports and survey outputs
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure a positive customer experience during surveys
  • Assist with compliance relating to health & safety and property standards
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within surveying and asset management processes
  • Use digital systems and databases to manage survey information and records
Requirements
  • Interest in surveying, housing, construction, or property maintenance
  • Previous exposure to housing, construction, facilities management, surveying, or similar built environment sectors
  • Relevant qualifications, studies, or training in Building Surveying, Construction, Property Maintenance, Real Estate, Civil Engineering, or related disciplines
  • Experience carrying out inspections, audits, site visits, or maintaining records and reports (preferred)
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently within a field based environment
  • Understanding of health & safety requirements
  • Full UK driving licence, or willingness to work towards obtaining one
