Sharp Consultancy are proud to be partnering with Worksop College in their recruitment for a Trainee Finance Business Partner, who is passionate about finance and looking to develop a long-term career. This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently studying AAT and is eager to grow within a supportive and dynamic finance team.
You will be joining a recognisable name within the education section, one that is widely known across the UK. You will have the opportunity to join an evolving finance team, during a period of significant investment.
The position offers excellent exposure across all areas of transactional finance, with clear potential for growth and progression. You will have access to study support and have the chance to work closely with a highly experienced Head of Finance, gaining valuable hands-on experience and mentorship.
In this role, you'll be joining a small, close-knit finance team comprising four members: the Head of Finance, the Finance Manager, and two transactional finance professionals. This newly created position has been introduced to support the team in response to a growing workload.

Duties include:
Creating and managing purchase orders
Resolving queries and handling returns
Processing daily transactions within the purchase ledger
Performing monthly supplier statement reconciliations
Preparing and processing monthly payment runs
Reconciling credit card accounts
Managing staff expenses
Creating and posting sales invoices
Chasing outstanding payments
Maintaining an accurate general ledger
Preparation and posting of general ledger journals
Treasury duties including bank reconciliations and daily/weekly cash forecast updates
To be considered, you must be:
AAT qualified or currently studying towards AAT
Confident using various accounting systems
Experience in a similar role is a plus, but not essential
Proactive, results-driven, and highly analytical
High attention to detail
A reliable team player with excellent communication skills
