Trainee ABA Tutor Location: Forest Gate, Newham Pay: £100-£125 per day (dependent on experience) Contract: Full-Time Start Date: ASAP Begin Your Career in Specialist SEN Education Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and looking to build a career in specialist education?

We are working with a growing independent specialist provision in Forest Gate that is expanding its support for children with autism and related developmental needs.

They are seeking a dedicated Trainee ABA Tutor to join their team and help deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behaviour approaches.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about Special Educational Needs (SEN), eager to develop new skills, and committed to helping children build communication, independence, and confidence through personalised learning programmes.

The Role As a Trainee ABA Tutor, you'll work closely with experienced consultants, supervisors, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver structured, one-to-one support that helps pupils achieve meaningful progress.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering individual ABA and Verbal Behaviour sessions under the guidance of experienced supervisors
  • Supporting pupils to develop communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and independence
  • Following individual teaching programmes and accurately recording learner progress
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and the wider SEN team
  • Helping to maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment
  • Promoting positive outcomes through consistent, child-centred support
About You

We're looking for someone who is caring, motivated, and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children with additional needs.

You'll ideally have:
  • An understanding of the SEND Code of Practice (2015)
  • An NVQ Level 2 or 3, Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) qualification, Psychology degree, or a related qualification (or be working towards one)
  • Experience supporting children in a school, nursery, tutoring, youth work, or similar setting
  • An Enhanced DBS certificate issued within the last 12 months, or willingness to obtain one
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding, professionalism, and continuous learning
  • A willingness to work in line with the ethos and values of an independent Christian school
