Role Title: Trading Controls Design & Remediation Specialist
Location: London/2-3 days a week onsite
Duration: 31/12/20-26

Role Description:
Support the Trading Controls uplift programme by delivering control gap assessment, control design, remediation execution, and trading-controls framework uplift across CIB, GCT and BCB. The role suits a highly hands-on practitioner with a strong background in 1LoD/2LoD controls, regulatory remediation, and markets/trading controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and analyse gaps in the existing control environment and translate regulatory or internal requirements into practical remediation actions.
• Design, document, and implement fit-for-purpose trading controls and control enhancements for Front Office and markets processes.
• Support uplift of 1LoD control frameworks across trading and markets environments, including governance, documentation, and operating model alignment.
• Assist with audit and 2LoD validation, including evidence collation, walkthrough preparation, and remediation challenge response.
• Contribute to regulatory closure packs and support internal/external attestation requirements.
• Bring peer-bank best practice from recent experience in booking controls, MAR remediation, Fed Consent Order remediation, and SREP-related markets controls.

Required Experience

• 6-9 years' experience in global investment banks or equivalent Tier 1 institutions.
• Strong background in controls design, controls remediation, or transformation in markets/trading environments.
• Experience delivering control uplift, regulatory remediation, or audit remediation in a Front Office or trading-control context.
• Good understanding of trading control frameworks, market conduct, booking controls, and control documentation standards.
