Trade Operations Analyst The Opportunity

This role is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of trade confirmation, settlement, reporting, and query management across Equity, Fixed Income, and FX trading activities. The successful candidate will develop a strong understanding of trading operations, settlement processes, and internal workflows, while supporting the timely and accurate execution of transactions. The position requires the ability to identify, analyse, and resolve operational issues, manage risk, and communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Key Skills & Experience

• Experience with industry-standard trade operations practices and systems.
• Strong understanding of market settlement processes.
• Knowledge of FX settlement operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Strong time management and organisational abilities.
• High attention to detail and analytical capability.
• Ability to identify operational risks and elevate issues appropriately.
• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement action plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor trade confirmations, settlement activity, fail resolution, and escrow processes.
• Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve operational issues.
• Manage market-specific settlement requirements across international markets.
• Liaise with trading desks, brokers, custodians, and other business partners to ensure smooth trade processing.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert on operational projects and initiatives.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment to meet service levels and quality standards.
• Support process improvement initiatives alongside management and team leads.
• Ensure all responsibilities are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
• Deliver clear and effective written and verbal communication to stakeholders.

About the Team

The team provides operational support for domestic and international Equity, Fixed Income, High Yield, and Foreign Exchange trading activities. Working closely with traders, brokers, custodians, and internal business functions, the team plays a critical role in facilitating trade matching and settlement across global markets, while also supporting areas such as compliance, counterparty risk, legal, treasury, and fund accounting.
