Town Planner

A well-established housebuilder is looking to appoint a Planner to join its East Midlands team. This role offers the opportunity to work client-side, supporting the delivery of residential developments from early-stage appraisal through to planning approval.

This is a strong move for someone looking to transition from consultancy into a developer environment.

The Role

You will play a key role within the land and planning team.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting planning strategy for residential sites
• Preparing and coordinating planning applications
• Managing external consultants
• Liaising with local authorities and stakeholders
• Supporting land acquisition through planning input
• Monitoring planning policy and local plan changes

The role offers excellent exposure to the full development lifecycle.

About You

• MRTPI qualified or working towards Chartership
• Experience within consultancy or developer-side planning
• Strong understanding of the planning system
• Good stakeholder management skills
• Commercial awareness and interest in development
