Job Description

A forward-thinking, multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Town Planner to join their growing planning team. About the Role:

The successful candidate will work on delivering a wide portfolio of projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed use developments with planning applications, policy research, site appraisals, stakeholder engagement, and local plan representations, gaining exposure to all aspects of the UK planning system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the preparation and submission of planning applications and supporting documents.
  • Assist with site assessments, planning strategy reports, and development feasibility.
  • Monitor local and national planning policy updates.
  • Conduct research, prepare planning statements, and support the appeals process.
  • Attend site visits and client meetings, with guidance from senior team members.
  • Liaise with local authorities, consultants, and clients.
About You:
  • A relevant degree (RTPI-accredited Town Planning or related subject).
  • A genuine interest in planning and the built environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem solving abilities.
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail.
  • Eligibility for or working towards RTPI licentiate membership.
