Tools Support Specialist/Belgium

Excellent long term mission for a Tools Support Specialist to join a R&D Tools Support Team.

Hybrid role: 2 days on site per week.

Skill Set:

The primary focus for this individual will be on the library/information system. The main objective is to enhance the team's capacity to integrate new adaptations and functionalities into

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert support for the tool, ensuring its stability and performance.
• Integrate new adaptations, features, and functionalities into the platform.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to and its underlying infrastructure.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our R&D tool ecosystem.
• Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and enhancements.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Strong proficiency in Linux environments (command-line, Scripting, system administration basics).
• Solid experience with PHP development and Scripting.
• Expertise in Javascript for Front End and/or Back End development.
• Comprehensive understanding of Database Systems, with specific hands-on experience in MySQL.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge and experience with Perl Scripting.
• Familiarity with version control systems (eg, Git).
• Experience with web server configuration (eg, Apache, Nginx).
