About The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance System Testing & Training Lead to join the Project team at Islington Council for a fixed term of 12 months starting May 2025. The role involves implementing a new ERP - Technology One's OneCouncil SaaS+ solution, with a key focus on delivering a successful go-live in April 2026. As a Testing and Training Lead, you will develop and execute testing strategies to validate system functionality, performance, and reliability. You will also design and deliver training programs to ensure end-users are proficient with the new system. Collaboration with project managers, IT specialists, and stakeholders will be crucial to facilitate a smooth transition and maximize the system's benefits. Key responsibilities
  1. Testing: Lead testing teams, develop test plans, conduct tests, ensure quality assurance, support project activities, and define testing strategies.
  2. Training: Create and implement training strategies, design training programs, collaborate on training needs, produce training materials, conduct training sessions, evaluate effectiveness, provide ongoing support, and develop a training portal.
What we're looking for

A qualified professional (AAT or studying towards CCAB, CIMA, CIPFA, etc.) with proven experience in ERP system testing, managing testers, planning test activities, stakeholder collaboration, and delivering training workshops using various methods.
