Are you a hands-on technician looking to get into the growing EV sector? This role is predominantly mechanical, involving the preparation and setup of battery systems for testing, working alongside experienced engineers within a specialist battery test facility.

This Test Technician job will suit:

• A Technician, Mechanical Technician, Automotive Technician or Test Technician with a practical, hands-on background.

• Someone who enjoys working as part of a team and following safe working practices.

• Experience assembling, installing, maintaining or testing engineering equipment.

• Someone happy working outdoors for much of the role.

• You will hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in mechanical engineering, electrical electronic engineering, automotive engineering, or similar engineering discipline.

• Full UK driving licence required.

This Test Technician job will involve:

• Preparing EV battery systems for testing.

• Assisting engineers with test setup, instrumentation and data acquisition equipment.

• Carrying out mechanical assembly, bolting, mounting and connecting test equipment.

• Completing safety checks before and after testing.

• Dismantling test rigs and maintaining the test facility, tools and equipment.

• Supporting battery testing projects for leading automotive, motorsport and defence customers.
