Test Manager- SAP Payroll

Contract | Edinburgh - Hybrid (2 days onsite per week) | £450

We are looking for an experienced Test Manager to support a major client embarking on a new SAP UK Payroll programme.

This is a hands-on leadership/consulting role requiring strong SAP and payroll domain knowledge, alongside the ability to work with senior stakeholders and shape the overall testing approach.

You will be responsible for:

• Defining and implementing the overall test strategy and approach
• Establishing best-practice testing processes, tooling and automation
• Test planning, estimation, reporting and analysis
• Supporting and managing UAT
• Identifying and managing testing risks, dependencies and progress
• Working closely with senior business and technology stakeholders
• Coaching and influencing teams to improve overall quality engineering practices
• Helping ensure the SAP Payroll implementation is robust and ready to scale beyond the initial pilot

We are particularly interested in people with:

• Strong experience as a Test Manager or similar
• Previous experience delivering testing across SAP programmes
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, ideally UK Payroll
• Experience with SAP HR/payroll technologies; SAP SuccessFactors/Employee Central Payroll experience would be beneficial
• Strong test strategy, test planning, UAT and test governance experience
• Exposure to test automation and modern quality engineering practices
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and consulting skills
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and working across business and technology teams

This is a hybrid contract requiring 2 days per week onsite in Edinburgh, so candidates must be able to commit to regular onsite working.

IR35 determination is currently TBC.
