The role

In this role, you will collaborate with QA, Product, Operations, and Technology teams to execute critical testing of new features and perform pre-release regression testing. You will write and execute thorough, reusable test scripts, document defects, and communicate progress regularly. There is significant potential for career progression for the right candidate.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating test scripts based on feature descriptions in Jira and demonstrations by the Technology/Product teams.
  • Performing regression testing of existing features before deployments.
  • Executing test scripts and documenting bugs systematically.
  • Reporting testing progress daily.
  • Assisting in preparing weekly release notes for internal and client use.
  • Contributing to user manuals for new features.

Qualifications and skills

  • Experience in software or system testing.
  • Effective communication with clients and internal teams.
  • Proficiency with test management tools like Quality Center and ALM.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Understanding of Financial Services, especially post-trade and asset servicing.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA.
  • Ability to assess the impact of new products on existing systems.
  • Collaborative attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to independently author and execute test scripts.
  • Experience with SWIFT messaging and API testing.
