Express Recruitment are pleased to be working on behalf of our successful client who operate across the Rail industry and are a well-established and growing engineering organisation. They're currently seeking an experienced Stores Supervisor to oversee their operations and manage efficient stores processes within team. This is a hands on role within a busy environment, supporting materials control, kitting, stock accuracy, and internal distribution to ensure operational demand is met efficiently and accurately.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining inventory integrity and supporting cross-functional teams and will ideally have experience of working in rail or large engineering/manufacturing settings.

• Receiving and interpreting pick lists to accurately select and verify materials, issuing kits in line with operational demand
• Performing ERP transactions to maintain accurate inventory records, including booking in deliveries and issuing stock
• Supporting Goods In activities and carrying out stock accuracy tasks such as cycle counts, stock takes, and location checks
• Organising and maintaining stores and kitting areas to promote efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement (CAYGO principles)
• Providing cover for Transport & Movements coordination, including preparing, booking transport, packaging, and dispatching materials

• Previous experience of overseeing operations within the rail industry
• Experience using ERP or stock management systems
• Demonstrable FLT experience within a warehouse or stores setting
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Confident communicator, able to work independently and collaborate across departments

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 - 17:00

Salary: up to £18.00 per hour D.O.E
