Temporary Head / Sous Chef - Staff Canteen Cover

Location: Rochester

Rate: £18.00 - £22.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Head Chef or Sous Chef to provide temporary cover within a busy staff restaurant / canteen environment in Rochester.

This is a short-term assignment supporting the kitchen team and helping ensure smooth service within a high-volume catering operation.

Dates: 16th - 20th March (Potentially more shifts for the right candidate)

Hours: 06:30 - 15:30

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the day-to-day running of a busy kitchen
• Food preparation and cooking for staff restaurant service
• Working alongside the existing kitchen team during service
• Maintaining high food quality and hygiene standards
• Ensuring the kitchen remains clean, organised, and compliant with food safety procedures

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef
• Experience working in a busy kitchen or contract catering environment
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume service
• DBS check required
• Background checks required
• Must provide and wear chef whites
