Temporary Finance Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Finance Assistant for an initial 2 month period.

Successful applicants will have previous Finance/ Accounts Assistant experience and will ideally be available to start immediately. Previous Hotel or Hospitality experience is essential.

The role is based in Central London, working for a luxury Hotel business.

The role will include:

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding and approvals
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with payment runs and maintain AP ageing
• Support invoicing and collections where required

Revenue & Income Audit Support

• Assist with daily revenue checks
• Reconcile POS systems to PMS (e.g. Mews) and accounting system
• Investigate and resolve variances

Balance Sheet Reconciliations

• Assist with reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts
• Support month-end close process

Financial Reporting

• Support preparation of monthly management accounts
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

Control & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and procedures
• Support audit requests (internal/external)
• Maintain organised and audit-ready documentation

The working hours are very flexible and there is 1 day working from home per week.

Whilst this is initially a temporary opportunity for 2 months, there is a possibility that the position could be made permanent.
