Temp to Perm School Business Manager, immediate start

Temporary to Permanent Finance Officer Location: Bromley
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: Full-time in the office

We are currently recruiting for a School Business Manager to join a busy school in Bromley on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an immediate requirement and candidates must be available to start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
• Process invoices, payments and supplier queries
• Perform regular bank reconciliations
• Preparation of management accounts
• VAT returns and associated financial reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors and external service providers
• Support the school's day-to-day financial operations
• Budgeting and other finance administration duties as required

Requirements

• Previous finance experience, ideally within a school, academy or education setting
• Good working knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliations
• Experience assisting with management accounts and VAT processes
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
• Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel

Essential Compliance Requirements

• Current Enhanced DBS Certificate
• Registered with the DBS Update Service
• Ability to provide satisfactory references
• Proof of right to work and proof of address
