Position Title

Telemarketer

Location

Dublin 2 - full time office based.

Terms

12 month Fixed Term Contract / GB2 (€27,342 - €30,380)

Reporting

Reports to the Telemarketing Manager and Team Leader; works closely with Direct Marketing Executives, Donor Care team, Fundraising Systems Team and wider Concern teams.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 6 PM. 35 hours per week. Full time office based.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support the Public Affairs Department on different projects by contacting donors regarding cash/regular giving donations and non financial support.
  • Complete Telemarketing campaigns and reach key performance indicators.
General Campaign Tasks
  • Contact existing donors or prospects by telephone as part of a Marketing Campaign.
  • Ensure that all calls made are in line with the procedures of Concern.
  • Achieve productivity and ensure key performance indicators are met.
  • Ensure accurate and complete information is captured in CRM systems.
  • Attend campaign briefings and training, and participate actively within the training environment.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner when interacting with donors.
  • Undertake specific tasks and projects as directed by the Telemarketing Project Manager.
Additional duties as and when required

As directed by management.

Essential Qualifications
  • English fluency.
  • Some fundraising experience.
  • 6 12 months telesales & customer service experience preferably in a contact centre or telesales role.
  • Previous experience of working to and exceeding targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a team.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills and a desire to develop in the role by engaging in training and accepting feedback and supervision from management.
  • Strong negotiation and objection handling skills.
  • Good IT skills with knowledge of MS Office, in house databases, the Internet and ability to analyse information.
  • Friendly and professional telephone manner.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Interest/Experience in international development.
