Kubota Technology Innovation Europe department
The KTI-EU organization is a newly established department focusing on digital solutions and systems development from both a fundamental and applied research perspective. It bridges the gap between the market research, collaborations and technology mapping (driven by our Innovation Center Europe) and the commercial development done by our R&D centers, like Kubota Research and Development Europe and Kverneland Group. The KTI department centers itself on the European market but in strong collaboration with the global organization and other regional offices e.g., KTI-SV (Silicon Valley, USA) to align and coordinate global initiatives.
In this context and in order to strengthen our team, we are looking to recruit a Technology Planning Officer. The technology planning officer is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the KTI-EU technology roadmap and planning. This will initially be done for the Agricultural Machinery segment that KTI-EU is currently focusing on, but in the future might be expanded further info other segments. This role is critical for the success of our technology advancements pushing the boundaries of productivity and sustainability.
Responsibilities:
- Collect input from relevant stakeholders within the Kubota group, both in Europe and abroad.
- Actively scan the environment for new and relevant technologies
- Set-up and maintain the process and formats to create a technology roadmap which satisfies both Kubota's future technology and future product development derived from market needs.
- Set-up and maintain the content of selected technology roadmaps, as well as the communication with stakeholders, not only in Europe but also around the world.
- Support the prioritization of technologies in the European Solution Strategy Committee.
- Follow up on the planning and execution of the selected technologies with multiple stakeholders.
- Prepare the European input for the Global R&D Conference initiated by Kubota Japan.
Requirements:
- University educational background in Advanced Technology or related fields with 3+ years of experience.
- Experience with planning future strategies in an advanced technological environment.
- Taking ownership of the technology roadmap and process.
- Experience in summarizing the policies and requirements of various stakeholders and making proposals and reports (consulting skills). Analytical ability to converge multiple stakeholders requests into a roadmap.
- Excellent communication skills for discussing input and output with global stakeholders on management and C-levels.
- Experience in product development in all stages.
- Experience within the Agriculture sector.
- Should be able to business travel worldwide.
- Proficiency in English and Dutch.
