Technology Innovation Manager - 6 month FTC - London/Hybrid

My London based client are seeking a Technology Innovation Manager to join them on an initial 6-month Fixed Term Contract. In this role, The Technology Innovation Manager will be responsible for auditing the organisations product roadmap and development backlogs to ensure all initiatives align with the organisation's broader strategic goals. Your insights and recommendations will guide decision-making, ensuring that product investments are both forward-thinking and business aligned.
This is a high-impact role for someone passionate about innovation, governance, and strategic alignment.
The role will require 1 day per week on site at the clients central London office.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular audits of the product roadmap and backlog across teams to evaluate alignment with organisational strategy and innovation priorities.
- Analyse initiatives for strategic fit, business value, innovation potential, and delivery feasibility.
- Identify and communicate gaps, misalignments, or redundancies in the product pipeline, providing clear, actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineering leads, and senior leadership to influence strategic direction and prioritisation decisions.
- Develop and implement governance frameworks to assess, monitor, and report on the alignment of product initiatives with business goals.
- Surface and promote opportunities for innovation and emerging technology adoption within the product development life cycle.
- Maintain strong relationships across business and technology functions to support effective integration of strategic priorities into product delivery.
Skills/Experience
- Proven experience in innovation management, technology strategy, product governance, or a similar role.
- Deep understanding of product management practices, Agile methodologies, and backlog/roadmap planning.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate complex information and provide strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of influencing at senior levels.
- A passion for technology innovation and driving business impact through strategic alignment.
