Getting qualified. It's a huge achievement that can completely change your prospects - but it's not always open to everyone, whether that's due to the cost of university or the timing not being right. Barclays offers an apprenticeships programme that provides a permanent, full-time job with a competitive salary from day one, while gaining a professional qualification at the same time. Whether you're a school-leaver looking for alternatives to traditional university or someone thinking differently about your future, Barclays can help you build an extraordinary career, regardless of background.

Our programme is designed for school leavers and career changers, but is open to anyone. You'll join an Apprenticeship cohort from various backgrounds. If you already have a degree, visit to consider graduate opportunities.

Why a Barclays Apprenticeship?

You'll have the opportunity to earn while working towards an IT Management for Business Graduate Apprenticeship, combining theoretical learning with practical work in a full-time permanent role. It offers a professional qualification without student debt, while gaining years of work experience. If a more relevant Apprenticeship becomes available, Barclays may change the Apprenticeship before you start.

Barclays has invested in the Apprenticeship programme for many years. From day one you'll be assigned a Programme Support Manager and paired with a People Leader and an expert in your subject area to support your development. The Apprenticeship path enables self-discovery and the exploration of different career options. Barclays has extensive banking experience and operates in many countries, offering networking opportunities and scope to grow.

To apply for our apprentice programme, you must meet the Government's apprentice funding requirements that apply to you as outlined at apprentices in Scotland. The Government requirements include a 3-year residence requirement (subject to exceptions) and holding the legal right to work full-time for the duration of the apprenticeship.
