Technician 2

Join a leading independent technology and services provider as a Technician 2.

Location: Viables Business Park, Basingstoke
Contract: Start Date:03-Nov-25 to End Date:14-Nov-25
Pay Rates: A per hour rate, in-scope IR35, of £14.54/hr (PAYE) OR £18.87/hr (via a Hays approved umbrella company)
Hours:37.5 hours a week Monday-Friday.
Timings: 9:00 AM-5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform laptop deployments at the customer site, ensuring timely and accurate setup
• Follow customer-specific documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Tag, record, and update asset information in the customer's asset management system.
• Configure devices according to predefined imaging and setup guidelines
• Coordinate with customer IT teams to resolve deployment-related issues
• Provide basic end-user support during handover and initial setup
• Maintain deployment logs and status reports for project tracking
• Ensure compliance with data security and handling policies

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in IT hardware deployment or desktop support
• Familiarity with asset management systems and inventory tracking
• Ability to follow technical documentation and SOPs precisely
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
