Technical/Functional Analyst (.NET/SQL/Application Analysis)/Fluent Dutch

Endeavour Recruitment is currently recruiting for a fluent Dutch speaking Technical/Functional Analyst (.NET/SQL/Application Analysis).

The role is based in Leuven - hybrid 2 days on site.

Rate: 710 Euros per day

Project Context & Objective

The consultant will join an existing team responsible for documenting a business-critical software platform used for the management and processing of pension plans. The platform is a long-standing, enterprise-grade application built on Microsoft technologies (.NET/VB.NET, SQL Server, SSRS) and forms a core part of the organisation's operational landscape.

The objective of the assignment is to create comprehensive, structured technical documentation that enables the platform to be maintained, enhanced and supported as a long-term solution. The documentation will serve as the foundation for future maintenance, application life cycle management, knowledge transfer, and onboarding of new team members.

The consultant will work closely with software developers, solution architects, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders, and will act as the bridge between technical implementation and clear, business-readable documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Analysis & Understanding

Analyse the existing software platform and develop a thorough understanding of its architecture and functional components.

• Analyse the existing source code (VB.NET/.NET Framework) where necessary to understand application behaviour.
• Map the interaction between internal components and third-party integrations.

Documentation Production

• Produce clear, structured, and consistent technical documentation for the application and its modules.
• Document system architecture, business processes, data flows, and interfaces.
• Document configuration procedures and operational processes.
• Develop structured implementation and maintenance guides.
• Build and maintain documentation that facilitates future maintenance, enhancements, and onboarding.

Collaboration & Quality

• Collaborate closely with developers, architects and business experts to validate documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify opportunities to improve documentation quality and overall system understanding.
• Present findings and recommendations to the project team.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical

• Solid knowledge of VB.NET/.NET Framework.
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Experience working with software architecture and Legacy applications.

Documentation & Analysis

• Proven experience documenting complex enterprise applications.
• Ability to read and understand existing source code and translate technical concepts into clear, structured documentation.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent written communication and documentation skills.

Advantageous

• Experience using AI-assisted documentation tools (eg GitHub Copilot).
