Technical Trainer

As a Technical Trainer at Mowi, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our employees are equipped with the necessary food safety and quality knowledge and skills to excel in their roles within our food manufacturing plant. You will work closely with the Factory Training Manager and Site Technical & Compliance Manager to maintain an up-to-date training matrix. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and delivering training programs focused on food safety, quality, authenticity, production processes, techniques, and equipment operation.

• Training Program Development: Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop comprehensive programs. Design engaging training materials, including presentations, manuals, videos, and interactive modules. Regularly update materials to reflect technological advancements and best practices.
• Training Delivery: Conduct interactive training sessions for employees at various levels, utilizing methods such as classroom instruction, on-the-job training, and simulations. Adapt delivery methods to suit different learning styles.
• Technical Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert on technical aspects of food production, machinery, and processes, emphasizing food safety, quality, and authenticity. Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements. Provide technical support during training and daily operations.
• Assessment and Evaluation: Develop assessments to measure training effectiveness and employee knowledge retention. Gather feedback to improve training content and methods.
• Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records of training activities, including attendance and certifications. Generate reports on training metrics and communicate outcomes and recommendations to stakeholders. Participate in initiatives to enhance training effectiveness and collaborate with cross-functional teams for process improvements. Incorporate trainee feedback into future programs.

• Proven experience in food production or a similar field, preferably in a technical or supervisory role.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience in instructional design and curriculum development.
• Proficiency with learning management systems and training technologies.
• Trainer or educator certification is a plus.
