Job Description

Cardiff Council aims to provide a high quality, accessible service whilst carrying out its functions to maintain the Council's domestic properties and approximately 9 supported accommodation buildings, it is also responsible for 9 high-rise blocks of flats as well as Community Living Complexes.

About the job

The main function of the role is to assist the Qualified Technical Managers/ Technical Managers. With emphasis on being proactive when dealing with customer enquiries such as damp inspections and requests for service.

To carry out inspections of properties as necessary with tenants in occupation and raise repairs or investigate issues, as necessary. Also, to assist with the co-ordination and management for responsive repairs function relating to the services ensuring appointments and work management systems are maintained.

The post holder will assist tenants and view the property during repairs works or when completed to discuss any issues.

What We Are Looking For From You

You must demonstrate a commitment to personal development and self-learning and have a knowledge of housing related issues when dealing with responsive repairs within properties.

You should also have the ability to work as part of a team, be able to follow procedures and have good communication skills and experience of visiting people in their own homes.

The successful candidate should have the ability to deliver excellent customer services and work effectively with residents.
