We are looking for a Technical Manager - Commercial Gas to lead and oversee the management, maintenance, and compliance of gas systems across various facilities in Newcastle. • Lead a Skilled Team: Manage and guide a team of commercial gas engineers, ensuring best practices in equipment installation, maintenance, and compliance.




• Oversee System Efficiency: Ensure all commercial gas systems, including boilers, heating systems, and associated infrastructure, are regularly maintained, tested, and operating efficiently.




• Compliance & Safety: Ensure full compliance with gas safety regulations, health and safety standards, and relevant environmental legislation.




• Project Management: Oversee installations, system upgrades, and refurbishments, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to industry standards.




• Energy Efficiency: Implement strategies to improve energy efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance overall system performance.




• Troubleshoot & Resolve Issues: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to commercial gas systems, providing hands on support when necessary.




• Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations and service delivery.

• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in commercial gas engineering, facilities management, or a related field.




• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of commercial gas systems, including boilers, heating systems, ventilation, and associated mechanical equipment.




• Leadership Skills: Proven experience in managing and developing a team of technical staff within a commercial gas or facilities management environment.




• Qualifications: Gas Safe certification and relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Gas Engineering, or Building Services.




• Problem Solving Ability: Excellent diagnostic skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.




• Health & Safety Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of gas safety regulations, risk assessments, and safe working practices.
