This is a *Manchester* based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working on *Writing and maintaining clear technical documentation in Confluence*.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a Technical Author to support their cloud transformation. You will document and communicate projects as teams:

• Migrate from on-premises systems to AWS Cloud

• Build new cloud-native applications in AWS

You will organise the Confluence knowledge base, create user-friendly documentation, and help implement taxonomies and labelling for easy access.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and maintain clear technical documentation in Confluence

• Support cloud migration and cloud-native projects with technical content

• Review existing documentation for accuracy and usability

• Define and implement taxonomy, metadata, and labelling strategies

• Collaborate with engineers and product teams to capture technical knowledge

• Use Jira to manage documentation tasks

Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Experience as a Technical Author or Technical Writer

• Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud and cloud-native concepts

• Experienced with Confluence and Jira

• Ability to explain technical topics clearly

• Skilled at managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Desirable:

• Experience in large-scale digital transformations

• IT infrastructure, DevOps, or cloud engineering background
