Remote first, with offices in Manchester and Portsmouth.

At Dootrix, we design intelligent software solutions in Microsoft Azure that empower businesses for the future. We specialise in Application Modernisation, Data Integration & AI, and Cloud Governance & Process, with the mission to be the UK's leading alternative to traditional global systems integrators (SIs).

Our passion lies in creating innovative, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to meet the unique challenges of today's dynamic businesses. Through close collaboration with our clients, we deliver bespoke solutions that enhance efficiency, agility, and competitive advantage.

Our Values
  • Doo Good Work: We strive for excellence in everything we do.
  • Doo Explore: We embrace curiosity and are eager to learn and grow.
  • Doo Innovate: We challenge the status quo to build smarter solutions.
  • Doo Together: Collaboration is at the heart of our success.
  • Doo Own It: We take responsibility and deliver with integrity.
  • Doo The Extraordinary: We go beyond expectations to achieve the remarkable.
About the role

We are looking for a Technical Architect with strong experience of working with Azure Cloud to join our architecture team to help deliver innovative, forward-thinking systems and solutions for some of the UK's most exciting companies and start-ups.

You will have a broad technical knowledge (with a deep background in Azure and .NET) that assists you in making project and architectural decisions. You will also have the interpersonal skills to interact with clients and stakeholders, from engineers to C-suite.

You have proven experience designing and delivering secure, high-performance, standards-compliant solutions, with the ability to architect, direct, review, and evaluate new technologies - balancing risk, scope, cost, and quality throughout.

You are comfortable working with ambiguity and capable of shaping solutions even when the destination isn't fully mapped.

What you'll be doing
  • Consulting, architecting and developing on an engaging mix of projects for high-impact clients
  • Leading technical discovery and design, from stakeholder workshops to solution architecture and documentation
  • Collaborating across all departments within our organisation and our clients', partnering with stakeholders, developers, BAs, and architects to translate complex challenges into clear, actionable solutions
  • Bring contextual problem-solving skills to the design and assessment of technical solutions, evaluating risk, impact and delivery complexity.
  • Promoting innovation and best practices while advancing our AI and agent-computing ambitions and R&D initiatives
The tech you'll work with

Our Azure PaaS experience ensures that solutions are well-architected, secure, scalable, and aligned with business goals. While this role is less hands-on, a solid technical background remains essential, and experience in the following areas is highly valuable:

  • Languages: C#, NodeJS, Bicep
  • Frameworks: MAUI (for cross-platform mobile), .NET Core
  • Concepts: Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps, automation
What we're looking for
  • Passion for technology, exploring new and innovative ways of working
  • Experience leading and building enterprise software projects hosted in the Cloud
  • The ability to analyse business requirements and discuss technical solutions with project stakeholders
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Interest in agent frameworks or experimentation with LLM-enhanced architecture
  • Experience with security, cost-optimisation, or data architecture at enterprise scale
  • Passion for mentoring and helping grow capability in others
  • Clarity beats cleverness - we favour open, simple communication
  • Learn through doing - failure is part of the journey to success
  • Focus breeds quality - we believe in small, focused, empowered team
What's in it for you?
  • 25 Days holiday, increasing over time
  • Life Assurance
  • Income Protection
  • Latest Apple kit
  • Access to our EAP (Employee Assistance Program)
  • 1 Social impact day per year for volunteering
  • Cycle to Work
  • Team Member Discounts at Perks at Work
  • Find us a Doo'er Referral Scheme (£1,500 per Doo'er)
  • Training and certifications including networking opportunities
  • Opportunities for career growth and advancement in a fast-growing company
  • Dynamic and collaborative work environment with a focus on innovation and creativity
  • Dootrix offers fun and frequent social events, both in-person and virtual
  • We encourage putting people first and pride ourselves on a values-led working environment.
  • Work-life balance - Achieving a good work-life balance is fundamental to our company culture. We believe in working to live, not living to work. You'll experience this through our flexible working options. Our focus is on your productivity and contribution to the business, rather than adherence to strict working hours.
