About this opportunity

You'll be joining a collaborative and forward-thinking team that's building in-house capability around QRM (Quantitative Risk Management), a third-party ALM modelling tool. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who's smart, curious, and ready to commit to a learning pathway in treasury tech.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver reporting and modelling related to Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB) within agreed timeframes
  • Support the build and enhancement of QRM modelling capability, including dynamic assumption modelling
  • Act as a bridge between engineering teams and colleagues running models in QRM
  • Implement robust processes to support Market Risk objectives including reporting and Interest Rate Risk transfer pricing (ITP)
  • Continuously improve processes to enable more value-adding activity and qualitative review
  • Communicate complex technical issues clearly to a range of stakeholders
  • Contribute to wider Group-wide projects and initiatives
  • Use knowledge gained to guide and support other team members
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with complex data structures
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A technical background, ideally with experience in data or treasury
  • Strong numeracy and modelling skills
  • Willingness to learn and specialise in treasury technology
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Other useful experience
  • Understanding of market risk and interest rate risk
  • Exposure to ALM software tools such as QRM
  • SQL skills
  • Awareness of treasury instruments and their modelling techniques
