Technical Application Service Specialist

What you'll be doing
- Lead service reliability engineering initiatives, driving faster recovery and learning from incidents
- Champion an automation-first mindset to improve operational efficiency
- Manage a small team and establish a virtual network of stakeholders and contributors
- Act as a thought leader in service, influencing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Own and coordinate major incidents, ensuring timely resolution and thorough post-incident reviews
- Drive continuous improvement across operational processes and service transitions
- Represent the function in governance forums and strategic planning discussions
- Build relationships with external partners and vendors to support service innovation
What you'll need
- Proven experience in IT operations or service management with line management responsibilities
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to operate at peer-level across functions
- Expertise in incident, problem, and change management frameworks (e.g. ITIL)
- Passion for automation and service reliability engineering
And any experience of these would be really useful:
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace or Splunk
- Exposure to Agile, DevOps or SRE principles
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Experience in enterprise environments with 24x7 operations
