As a member of the team you will be required to identify and fix issues relating to the supported technologies, to carry out tasks related to larger ICT projects, to act as a technical liaison between internal clients and external suppliers, and to ensure compliance with all IT service control processes, including incident, problem and change management. You will also be involved in generating and updating technical documentation related to the supported systems.

- Qualification - Qualified to ITIL, or willing to work towards, with a good practical understanding of how the core ITIL functions (CM / IM / PM / RM and Configuration Management) interface and interact to collectively support IT and the Business.
- BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance - this post is subject to BPSS checks. You will therefore be required to consent to and comply with BPSS checking requirements prior to commencing in this post. This check involves verification of identity; nationality and immigration status; employment history (past 3 years) and basic criminal record check.

- Cloud migration - Including a hybrid model with on-prem and Cloud
- New printing solution across the Council
- Operating system upgrades across the entire estate and application modernisation
Technical skills
- Excellent understanding of Windows Server OS 2016 upwards
- Excellent knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy
- Experience with M365/Azure technologies including infrastructure configuration, Policy, Monitoring etc
- Experience with load balancing technologies
- Good knowledge of PowerShell scripting and Excel (Data manipulation)
- Work within ITIL Framework including SLA's and change management
- Excellent knowledge of VmWare and physical servers
- Excellent fault-finding skills in a complex environment
- Experience of hyperconverged technologies (Nutanix)
- Some knowledge or IaC scripting (Terraform)
- Good knowledge of SCOM (System Centre Operations Manager)
- Qualified to ITIL, or willing to work towards, with a good practical understanding of how the core ITIL functions (CM / IM / PM / RM and Configuration Management) interface and interact to collectively support IT and the Business.
- Excellent communicator both written and verbal
- Be able to work closely with suppliers
- Be able to work within an on-call rota
- Be forward thinking and adaptable with new technologies
- Be experienced in building, maintaining and supporting complex server environments both on-prem and cloud
