Team leader - Day services

Role details:

Contract: Temporary

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Hours of Operation: 08:45 - 16:30

Work Style: Fully office-based

Pay Rate: £23.81 per hour

About the Role

We're looking for a proactive, organised and compassionate Team Leader to support the delivery of high-quality Day Services for adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism, and complex or challenging needs.

In this role, you will:

• Lead, supervise and support a team of Support Workers
• Develop creative, person-centred activities within both community and building-based settings
• Ensure services meet required standards, legislation and best practice
• Build strong relationships with families, carers, and external agencies
• Manage rotas, staff performance, training, supervisions and appraisals
• Oversee safeguarding, risk assessments, incident reporting and adherence to policies
• Maintain accurate records and support quality monitoring
• Work flexibly, including participation in an on-call rota

Requirements

• NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care
• Experience working with adults with challenging behaviours
• Previous experience supervising or leading staff
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, The Care Act, MCA and Health & Safety legislation
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Flexibility to work shifts, evenings, weekends and bank holidays if required
• Enhanced DBS (Adults Barred List)
