Team Based Administrator

Role description

Work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, hybrid with a mix of office and home working as part of the existing admin team.

The post holder will join the CAMHS Single Point of Access Service (SPA) within the Children's and Families Care Group, providing the first point of clinical contact for children, young people, families and referrers, offering consultation, advice and triage.

Job responsibilities
  • Work on own initiative and demonstrate willingness to help others.

  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Handle sensitive and challenging situations appropriately.
Qualifications
  • ECDL/CLAIT IT qualification or equivalent.
  • RSA Stage III Word Processing / Text Processing or equivalent.
  • Good standard of general education including English and Maths at GCSE Grade C or equivalent or Functional Skills (English and Maths) Level 2.
  • NVQ / Level 3 Business Administration Audio typing.
Experience
  • Previous experience of data input.
  • Experience of dealing with sensitive/distressing issues.
  • Relevant experience in an administration role, including dealing with telephone queries in a timely manner.
  • Experience using Rio.
Skills
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc).
  • Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of the importance of effective team working.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and self initiative.
  • Capability to provide training/advice to other team members on processes and computer packages.
