Teaching Assistants (Level 2) - Abbey Hill Academy Farifax Provision (Horizons Specialist Academy Trust)

We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants with experience of working within a Special Educational Needs setting. We have two temporary roles to cover maternity leave based at our Fairfax Provision in Middlesbrough.
The successful candidates will be a caring, adaptable and motivated individuals who are passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential. Working closely with teaching staff and other professionals, you will provide support both in and out of the classroom, helping students to access learning, develop independence and build confidence.
The roles involve supporting students with their educational, social and physical needs, ensuring they are able to engage fully in their learning. We are particularly interested in candidates who are flexible in their approach and able to respond positively to the various needs of our students. There will also be opportunities to undertake training and professional development to further enhance your skills and knowledge.
Horizons Specialist Academy Trust comprises eight Academies and one Sixth Form across the Tees Valley and North Yorkshire supporting more than 1000 students with a wide range of learning difficulties and additional needs. We specialise in supporting students with a diverse range of learning difficulties and disabilities, including autism, alongside a variety of physical, sensory and complex needs.
