Job Description
Teaching Assistant - Full-time and part-time roles available from ASAP

These flexible opportunities are ideal for support staff who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings in South Molton and the surrounding areas.

Duties as Teaching Assistant:
  • Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and engaging in learning activities
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with varying needs
  • Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a safe, inclusive environment
  • Contribute to pupil assessments and progress tracking
  • Support pupils with personal development and social interaction
Ideal Teaching Assistant:
  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is desirable
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting learning
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
