Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work or a long-term role within a mainstream primary school?
Protocol Education is working in partnership with a number of welcoming mainstream primary schools and is looking to recruit enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants for both daily supply and long-term opportunities.
Whether you're looking for the flexibility of supply work or the consistency of a long-term placement, we have a range of opportunities available across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
About the RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils and teachers within the classroom. Duties may include:
- Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Working with individual pupils and small intervention groups
- Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities and lesson preparation
- Supporting pupils to remain engaged and make progress in their learning
- Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting a safe, inclusive learning environment
- Helping to prepare classroom resources and maintain an organised learning space
- Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school
- Be confident supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be adaptable, proactive and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Work well as part of a team and use their own initiative
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
- Be able to provide references covering recent school-based experience
- Flexible daily supply work to suit your availability
- Long-term placements with the potential to become permanent

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
