All about the roleTeaching Assistant (TA) with MDSA duties at lunch time and Wraparound Care 2 x days per week (Thursday and Friday). Job Share considered for the right applicant.
Hours- Teaching Assistant TA PM: 8.45am - 12.00pm & 1.00pm - 3.15pm (Grade C)
- MDSA: 12.30midday to 1.00pm (Grade B)
- Wraparound (WAC) Breakfast: 7.15am - 7.30am (Thursday and Friday)
- Wraparound Care 3.15pm - 5.45pm (Thursday) and 3.15pm - 4.45pm (Friday) (Grade C)
A half hour unpaid break is included between 12.00 and 12.30pm; times may vary due to daily requirements.
Salary Details- Teaching Assistant (Grade C): £12.85/hr - £13.05/hr (FTE £24,796 - £25,185 pro rata)
- MDSA (Grade B): £12.85/hr (FTE £24,796 pro rata)
- Wraparound Care Assistant (Grade C): £12.85/hr - £13.05/hr (FTE £24,796 - £25,185 pro rata)
- Provide general support as a Teaching Assistant and Wraparound Care Assistant.
- Work under pressure, maintaining a calm and patient approach.
- Support pupils learning in groups or one-to-one, especially those with additional needs.
- Be well organised, motivated and confident in managing groups and appropriate behaviour.
- Work with distractions and exhibit good sense of humour.
- Training and First Aid training required.
- Wraparound Care assistant should be confident in food handling and assist in providing basic breakfast and tea in the club.
- Applicants may be experienced or new to schooling; both are welcomed.
Support staff during lunch time: deliver ordered meals, monitor packed lunches, ensure all children are eating, manage appropriate behaviour. Perform cleaning, clearing, and stacking tables and benches. Oversee children during after lunch play, indoors or outdoors. Training and First Aid training required.
